Michaela is a Hudson Valley, NY based food stylist, working extensively in NYC. She has skills and experience as a professional chef, with a background in fine dining at restaurants including Gramercy Tavern. Michaela writes, develops recipes for, and styles the "Put A Lid On It" column in Sweet Paul magazine. Additionally, she is co-owner of Rise & Root Farm in Chester, NY where she creates preserves of all kinds and gets her hands in the soil at least once a week.

Michaela's styling clients include The New York Times, Bigelow Tea, Sweet Paul Magazine, Subzero Wolf, Woodbridge Winery, Penguin Random House, Kraft, Totto Ramen, Hamptons Magazine, Hers Muscle & Fitness Magazine, Whataburger, Fairway Markets, and Texas Monthly.

Before she worked in food, Michaela was a photo assistant and studio manager for photographers in Kansas City and New York City.
